Fairy Tale Review is inviting submissions for its 16th print issue.
Fairy Tale Review is published once per year by Wayne State University Press. It was founded in 2005 and is dedicated to publishing new, inclusive, and innovative fairy-tale prose and poetry. Work from Fairy Tale Review has been selected for inclusion in The O. Henry Prize Stories Anthology, Best New American Voices, Best American Fantasy, and listed as Notable in Best American Short Stories, among other honours.
The editors invite submissions of poems, stories, and essays with a fairy-tale feel – mainstream to experimental, genre to literary, realist to fabulist.
The 16th print issue of Fairy Tale Review, the coral issue, will be published in March 2020. The issue is not themed but the editors advise that they would be particularly interested in reading work with an environmental theme, as well as more flash prose (under 1000 words).
Fairy Tale Review is committed to contributor diversity and inclusive engagement. The editors strongly encourage submissions from women, indigenous writers and writers of colour, LGBTQIA+ writers, and members of otherwise marginalised or underrepresented groups in mainstream publishing.
