Iceland Writers Retreat is offering talented writers from around the world the chance to attend its April 2017 program for free.

For this scholarship program, writers can apply for either full or partial funding. The full funding scholarship includes a round-trip airfare plus the full retreat package including accommodation, tours, most meals and all workshops for the duration of the event. Partial funding covers the retreat costs only and does not include accommodation or flights.

Win a Writers Retreat in Iceland

Iceland Writers Retreat is offering one talented writer plane tickets to Iceland and a free delegate’s ticket to its April program.

In addition to a round-trip airfare, the winner will receive a full retreat package including accommodation, tours, most meals and all workshops for the duration of the retreat which runs from 13 to 17 April 2016. The flights must be from a direct destination and the package does not include airport transfers, travel insurance or visas (if required).

The successful candidate must demonstrate that he or she does not have the financial means to attend the conference without this award. Candidates do not need to be professional writers, but should be serious about the craft and interested in developing their skills and contacts.

Iceland Writers Retreat is offering one lucky writer a free delegate’s ticket to its April 2015 event.

The winner will receive a full retreat package including accommodation, tours, most meals and all workshops for the duration of the retreat which runs from 8 to 12 April.

To enter, contestants are asked to write a short story or essay of no more than 500 words using the above image of Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center as their inspiration.

The prize does not include flights to Iceland or transfers. Only one entry person is permitted and there is no entry fee. The panel of four judges will be made up of representatives from Iceland Travel, Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature, Promote Iceland, and Iceland Review magazine.
